Dan Hardy would love the chance to face Nick Diaz
Dan Hardy is currently riding a four fight losing streak in the UFC, with his last win coming back in November 2009 when he defeated Mike Swick via unanimous decision. That win provided Hardy the opportunity to fight Georges St. Pierre for the UFC Welterweight title, a five round fight that he lost via unanimous decision.
When he faces Duane Ludwig at UFC 146 Hardy will look to break the losing streak that begun with that loss to St. Pierre.
If he does get past Ludwig, there’s another fighter that he

Dan Hardy dueling Duane Ludwig at Memorial Day Weekend event
Two of the welterweight division’s most entertaining fighters have been signed to fight UFC 146 with the added caveat of each needing a win to cement his spot on the roster. According to the UFC, Dan Hardy and Duane Ludwig will face off on May 26 as part of the organization’s annual Memorial Day Weekend event. Both men have eleven TKOs to their credit and are known for their fan-friendly, strike-heavy style.
Ludwig is coming off a loss to Josh Neer where he fought valiantly but was submitted in the end. Prior to the defeat he’d won in back-to-back contests against Nick Osipczak and Amir Sadollah. The 21-12 kickboxer also holds past victories over Jonathan Goulet, Jens Pulver, and Yves Edwards, as well as the record for the fastest knockout in UFC history.
While Hardy is currently at a low point in his career, losing four straight, “The Outlaw” has made a reputation for himself as a competitor who always comes to fight and cares more about entertaining the public than padding his record with easy wins. The 29-year old has found success in 23 of 33 total fights with notable showings against Marcus Davis and Mike Swick.

UFC 143 Results: Dana White Discusses Koscheck Vs. Fitch And Mike Swick
During the post UFC 143 "media scrum", Dana White spoke with about 15 media members about a variety of topics related to the American Kickboxing Academy. For years White had attempted to match Josh Koscheck up with Jon Fitch but the fighters had always stated they were teammates and would never fight a teammate. With news that Koscheck had left the San Jose facility, the big question was if White would try and pursue the dream matchup between two top welterweights. His answer was sort of surprising.
"That's what I whispered to him. I said now I'm doing the Jon Fitch fight. That's what I said to him. He said good luck with that." He added, "That's what Lorenzo said. That's what Lorenzo said too. I don't know. No. I'm just f**king with him. If the fight made sense cause there was a time when those two were both going like this but if the fight made sense though then yeah, I'd try to make it. I wouldn't do it just to do it."
White was also asked about Mike Swick who has been out of action for two years as of today. He commented on Swick's seemingly innate ability to injure himself by doing the most mundane activities. "I haven't. I know that Joe Silva has. Swick hurts himself when he gets out of bed every day, you know? I love Swick. He's one of my favorite guys but he's Mr. Glass."
Finally, Dana was asked to give his opinion of Josh Koscheck's performance against Mike Pierce. Like many fans, he wasn't impressed, saying "Josh looked flat tonight man. I expected Josh to have the faster hands. To let them go. He didn't really let his hands go tonight. He looked flat."
There will be more coverage of the media scrum but check out the UFC 143 interviews to hear what the fighters had to say in the lead up to the event and immediately afterwards here.

Paulo Thiago to face Mike Pyle at UFC 142 in Brazil
Former welterweight contender Paulo Thiago appears set to fight Mike Pyle at UFC 142, a show confirmed to go ahead in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on January 14, 2012. Though not confirmed by UFC officials, if the bout takes place as expected it would mark his second consecutive clash in Brazil after beating David Mitchell a few months back at UFC 134.
A Full List of UFC 134 Results
News of the match-up was first reported by Tatame.
Thiago, who would be the eighth Brazilian on the card thus far, will enter the Octagon with a 14-3 record. Despite having only won a single time in his last three fights, the Brazilian special forces member holds a notable submission victory over Mike Swick and a first-frame knockout over Josh Koscheck, and is consistently a tough draw regardless of who he faces as evident by him never having been finished.
His opponent, Pyle, fights out of the Xtreme Couture camp and is currently coming off of a TKO loss to Canadian Rory MacDonald from this past August. The loss put an end to a three-fight winning streak during which he defeated Jiu-Jitsu ace Ricardo Almeida and British prospect John Hathaway.
UFC 142 is scheduled to be headlined by a featherweight title-fight between dominant champ Jose Aldo and American wrestler Chad Mendes. Other fights on the card include Anthony Johnson vs. Vitor Belfort and Sam Stout vs. Thiago Tavares.
