Video: Darth Vader And Stormtroopers Look On As George Lucas' Daughter Wins MMA Title
A few years ago, even the most hardcore Star Wars fans would never have guessed that George Lucas' daughter would eventually move from making cameos on his father's movies, to busting heads and winning MMA championships.
That's exactly what happened though, as Amanda Lucas won her fourth straight bout this past weekend, submitting MMA vet and professional wrestler, Yumiko Hotta by key lock on the third round of their DEEP 57 bout.
With the victory, the daughter of the Star Wars creator took home her first Mixed Martial Arts title by claiming the DEEP Women's Open-Weight Championship.
After the jump, you can check out footage of the entire fight, along with an emotional Amanda Lucas celebrating her win in Japan with Darth Vader and a group of Stormtroopers.

Darth Vader and a gang of Stormtroopers accompanied Amanda Lucas at DEEP 57
A couple years ago, Ecko made Star Wars themed hoodies and cut a video that featured Marc Laimon and Robert Drysdale fighting with plastic toy light sabers. It proved that you can be one of the greatest BJJ coaches and still be an incredibly geeky Star Wars fanboy. Granted, if any of us had two operational light sabers lying around, it would be virtually impossible not to stage your very own Jedi altercation. It would also be equally impossible to not emit your own sound effects when you swing around your plastic rod of imaginary energy. Unfortunately, physicists have agreed that light saber technology would be impossible to develop. Sorry to break the news to all of you members of the Temple of the Jedi Order (yes, it's an actual religion). Over the weekend we told you Amanda Lucas would be competing at DEEP 57 for the DEEP women's open-weight championship against Yumiko Hotta. Well, she managed to finish her opponent in the third round via keylock. After the bout, the inevitable happened -- Darth Vader and his crew of Stormtroopers invaded Amanda Lucas' personal space. Props to Sports Illustrated and Sherdog for the pictures and massive congratulations to Amanda Lucas on her first championship belt.

Why are Darth Vader and his lackeys posing with Rebel scum a couple of female fighters? Well, when you're Amanda Lucas, daughter of Star Wars creator George Lucas, you can pretty much "force" them to show up anytime, anywhere. Even at DEEP 57 "Impact" on Feb. 18 in Japan.

Some guy dressed up as Darth Vader wanted to walk out with Amanda Lucas for her DEEP 57 fight
I've met old hippies on the beach of Indonesia that have heard of Star Wars, so I can only assume that you're fully aware that Amanda Lucas is the daughter of the creator of the sci-fi series that gave birth to the term 'midi-chlorians.' Aside from her first professional MMA bout in 2008, she's been undefeated in her endeavor into mixed martial arts and tonight she will take on Yumiko Hotta for the DEEP women's open-weight championship at DEEP: '57 Impact' at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. Unfortunately if you don't reside in Japan, then it's impossible to watch the event live. However, according to an entry in Roxanne Modafferi's blog, the unsolicited Star Wars antics have already begun.
Apparently, some guy who dresses up as Darth Vader for some commercial had previously asked if he could come and be filmed with her, like walk out or something? And she of course declined. The reporters asked her about that, and she said that she didn’t want that kind of distraction. She’s here to fight and focus on her fight. I translated that, and the reporter said, “Darth Vader isn’t a very liked character, is he?”
What am I supposed to say? DUH he’s the bad guy. So I said to Amanda, “So nobody likes Darth Vader, right?” and she said, “I’m fine to sign Star Wars stuff afterwards, but as long as he doesn’t get in the way.” I translated that and I everybody burst into laughter. Maybe it was my choice of words “Ja ma” which is a strong word literally means “get in somebody’s way and interfere.”
You're probably laughing because dressing up as Darth Vader and asking Amanda Lucas if you could walk out with her is totally something you would do. I have a feeling that if the above-mentioned guy rocked out with a Lando Calrissian outfit, Amanda Lucas' response would drastically be different. It works all the time, every time. [Source]

Cesar Gracie tells us he believes Georges St. Pierre should be stripped of his title
If we were all living in a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, the Gracie last name would be synonymous with 'Skywalker.' Technically, that would place Rickson as Darth Vader and Kron Gracie as Luke Skywalker. Kyra Gracie would somehow be Princess Leia and we can only pray that Rampage Jackson would be Lando Calrissian. If any of you try to correct that family lineage, then you're just showing the world how large of Star Wars geeks you truly are -- which ultimately means unlimited ridicule from me, along with every reader on MiddleEasy.
LayzieTheSavage just got off the phone with Cesar Gracie to get his response on Georges St. Pierre being out of the MMA game for nearly an entire year, and needless to say he isn't that happy about it. In fact, he believes GSP should be stripped of his title in this brief interview.
